I also had Ogilvie home perms as a child (what were our mums thinking?!)... Yet when I got a bit older (17?) ...and spiral perms were cool, I "splurged" and had a McPerm at one of those el-cheapo chain places. Unfortunately they burned off a portion of my hair. (actually had some stubble!) Fortunately, my perm days were over!

i've only had one massage in my life, and it was weird. i don't think the lady washed her hands after eating because i could smell her dinner as she massaged my face. yuck! and when it as all over, she whispered something over my head, and rang a bell. weird.

i did work as a receptionist at a spa, and they preferred women to take off their bras, but didn't care if they left their panties on. i was also told to warn first timers about how deep tissue massages could be painful if they weren't used to them.

Nina-I know. First I was just in love with the 1984 Ricky, but now... well, the only songs I've listened to for like a month now are the 4 Seona Dancing songs I've got on the iPod, I have my DVR set to record any "Ricky Gervais" events, and I fall alseep listening to his podcast. I don't do drugs... Just obsess over cute celebrity boys.

Krista-I was totally the same way with Simon LeBon (from Duran Duran). I saw the vid for "Ordinary World" and was like, "I remember these guys from the 80s. They are soooo old now! They must be grandpas or something by now." But I was still oddly mesmerized. The next time I saw it I thought, "Well, they're kinda cute." By the end of the week I was full-blown addicted and didn't lay off for like 16 years. Oh, and Robert Smith is amazing, too. Have you seen the video for "Charlotte Sometimes"? Effing YouTube has it blocked... :-P

i don't know if he's read shopgirl yet, but i think it is in his netflix lineup. i'll have to look up these new photos of ricky. :)

i forgot to even mention robert smith from the cure. the first time i saw him (the friday i'm in love vid) i was like 12 and thought he was some kind of weird chubby clown. the second time i saw him i decided i thought he was adorable. that's the one crush i usually get made fun of for.

and i've been great. i'm feeling much better now. i'm selling my embroidery at the place i work at next month, and i have been working my butt off on them. so i haven't even thought of posting anything. but i've still been poking around. :)

Oh, yeah. He's sexy as hell. I've had a thing for him since I first saw "The Fly"; of course I was just a little kid so I always stopped watching right around when his fingernails fell off.

I think that's the great thing about the internet, though. You learn what people actually like, not just what we're told to like. When it was all up to TV and magazines, gals like me felt like freaks because we weren't gushing over Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise types (or Robert Whatshisface or Taylor Whosit today). Now we know that pretty much everyone out there has someone who's attracted to them. Over the last week or so, since deciding I'm super attracted to Ricky Gervais, it's become quite clear that there are many others who feel the same way.

Yeah, sexy. lol And Mike = the hottest of the Monkees despite the fact that when I was five I was SURE I was going to marry Davy Jones. Jonathan Knight = a win of a gay boy crush.
